Following your passion was what Anja was all about and writing fiction was her true passion. Fanatically producing content and actively participating in writers group was what she like best. Initially focused on screenplays she switched to writing novels and short stories. 

As many writers Anja was struggling to get published, despite the talent there is a lot of luck involved as well. However for Anja writing was a way to express herself and she kept producing for almost 30 years. Her latest novel was nearly finished when we suddenly lost Anja at age 58 on March 27, 2025 due to an aortic aneurysm.

In honour of her passion and her stamina to keep writing we created this annual contest for everybody that loves mysterious murder stories.
